New decision of transport problems in Moscow was reported by Mr. Mikhail Prokhorov. The solution is a withdrawal of transit vehicles and transfer of customs offices to Russian frontiers.
“The solution for transport problems is in the other plane: 45% of vehicles passing through Moscow are transit ones. The first we should do is to remove transit vehicles from Moscow.
For this purpose we should construct two “Moscow-bypass” roads” – claimed the billionaire to the pressmen. As Mikhail Prokhorov supposes this solution will reduce the number of cars on Moscow roads twice.
The second problem is that 45% of cargo gets custom clearance not only for Moscow but for the whole Russian Federation. Hence the transfer of customs offices will facilitate to cut down the business of Russian roads. New road and road junctions as well will be of great use.
