London informative real estate portal LonGrad.com reported on disputes over land parcel in London in which two royal families are involved. The matter of debate is the project of prestigious elite complex “Chelsea Barracks”.
Qatari Diarс company belonging to the royal family of Qatar on one side and Prince of Wales on the other side In project take palace. Complex is to be consisted of 17 19-stored buildings and 552 flats. According to the project the half of the premises is to be in the elite segment of the complex.
Qatari Diarс company designers plan to construct the elite complex in high-tech style. Prince Charles in his part insists on reconsidering of architectural style of the complex. He prefers traditional architectural styles. According to him, the style offered by the company-owner designers doesn’t agree with the style of the area.
The best variant on his opinion is the neo-classic project worked out by Quinlan Terry. We should mention that the budget of the project is 3 billion pounds. After several months of disputes none of the projects were approved. For the present the owner-company Qatari Diarс is working out the list of architects who must be approved by all the interested parties.
