The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin enacted a regulation of functioning of the capital new territories development department. The department was set up in May this year under the direction of Vladimir Zhidkin, the former vice-chairman of Moscow region administration.
According to RIA “Novosti” the department competence includes decisioning of government contracts of projecting placement methods, capital construction objects building and reconstruction on the territory attached to Moscow as well as adoption of orders for project documentation work out and completed projects acceptance.
Besides the department is entitled to participate in examination of issues related to industrial zones reorganization and the territory attached to Moscow use planning and management. The list of issues also includes social sphere objects, long-distance utility lines and transportation infrastructure except for metro and the first category highways.
