According to the annual report made by Blackwood Company in 2009 in Moscow there were put into operation 8 hotels along with tower “Federatsiya” offering apartments under foreign company Hyatt management.
Combined hotel room capacity is about 1000 rooms. Company analysts insist on that the offer is almost equally enriched by 3-4-star hotels. Premium class segment was presented in 2009 only by one object – apartments in tower “Federatsiya”. Blackwood Company experts added that over the period 2005-2009 high-quality room capacity increased by 5 000 rooms.
Thus Moscow room capacity under foreign management makes up about 6850 rooms. It is planned to put into operation several major premium class hotel projects.
We should mention that besides Grand Hyatt Residences&SPA another two objects with foreign management were open in Moscow: Ibis Moscow Paveletskaya (Accor) and Holiday Inn Moscow Simonovsky (Intercontinental Hotel Group).
